Happy to report that track cleaner arrived this A.M.and it look's O.K.,to me pal ,i have not tried it on the layout yet but will do later,anyway as far as i am concerned i can't see any problems,i have no doubt it will run to perfection,thank you, your service was faultless and it is a pity other establishment's are not of the same class,instead they leave a lot to be desired,thank you again,just one little favour if possible,the felt that is used,i was wondering if it were possible to find out where to buy the felt,i have been trying for ages and had no joy whatever,maybe you can help,maybe not. Has fond memories for me, as a very small lad, watching them on the Southern 'clattering' through Datchet en route to Windsor. Very impressed by your service. I doubt if many would have bothered to warn me that there was a postal strike, so delays were likely. The combined parcel services had managed to put a hole in the outer parcel, but the way you had packed it meant they missed the contents. Hi Rob, Well, the girls arrived this aft. As you predicted, I am absolutely delighted. The City of London is breathtaking - looks brand new, as if she just came off the line. Even the original manual was included which will serve me very well in terms of proper maintenance. It identifies some lubrication points I would likely have normally overlooked and, of course, these directions carry over to most of the other locos. Anyway, all for now. Hello Rob, Many thanks for the phone call you made this evening. It's rare these days to receive such excellent customer service, however the call was really appreciated. I wish we had longer to talk but I don't think the wife would have been too happy had we continued... :-) I've now carefully un-packed the locomotive and tender from it's transit box and inner wrapping. The locomotive is an absolute peach in all respects, the boxes are very good too which is always a nice bonus. I've tested her on a section of HD 2 rail track and she runs very smooth and quiet, the smoke unit worked too until the oil ran out. Impressed?
